What we know is a drop, what we don't know is an ocean.
I. Newton

Although many Scientists that say that they have always wanted to be one, I only decided to be in Biology when I met someone truly in love by science. She was my Biology teacher and she "made" me go through the biotechnology as a way to try to satisfice my natural curiosity. I knew that I made the right choice in my first month in a laboratory working in a "real" project. For me, there is nothing more interesting and challenging than trying to understand the how we (living beings) are here.
The reason I applied for the CodeAge program was the ambition to work outside of my country and to be part of an international team that should help me to improve as a scientist. Also, my fascination by the cancer biology, looking to cancer as a problem directly related with the increase of the average lifespan, and the opportunity of "forge" my project to this field, made me sure of my choice. Now, I just hope that my hard work, the support of my supervisors and, eventually, the help of the other network fellows, allow me to achieve my goals and be successful.
