i. Workshop on Stem Cells and Ageing: 21-23 Nov. 2013 in Milano, Italy

Benefit to the ESRs and other trainees: This workshop aims to expose ESRs and other trainees to the theoretical and practical intricacies in the field of stem cell research and its impact on ageing discussing potentials and limitations.

ii. Workshop on Regulation of the (Epi) Genome during Ageing: 9-13 June 2014 in Heraklion, Crete

Benefit to the ESRs and other trainees: This workshop will expose PhD students and postdocs from all over Europe to a series of talks covering the global analysis of transcriptomes and Epigenomes in Ageing as well as DNA repair and DDR - from molecular mecanisms to disease. The speakers from the SMEs will cover technology platforms (Mischak, Nürnberg).

iii.Workshop on Genetic Model Organisms in Ageing Research: 21-23 Sep. 2015 in Cologne, Germany

Benefit to the ESRs and other trainees: This workshop aims to familiarize young researchers from all over Europe on genetic model organisms that are most commonly used for DDR and ageing research.

iv. Workshop on Mechanisms of age-related diseases: 2-7 April 2016 in Cologne, Germany

Benefit to the ESRs and other trainees: A number of projects have been engaging in ageing research using various interventions aimed to modify ageing processes or lifespan of experimental animals. This workshop aims to familiarize ESRs and other trainees to topics related to the current advances in the field of biomarker discovery in pathological conditions with old age.
